Gifts of the Holy Spirit Collage

Wisdom: The picture of the Bible represents wisdom because the Bible tells us about the mysteries of the faith and help us to grow in our relationship with God. The Bible gives us wisdom about God and allows us to grow in our love for God and desire to go to Heaven.

Understanding: The Eucharist is a prime example of God helping us to understand the mystery of the faith. By giving the last supper before he died, God offered us his body so that we may physically experience his presence in our lives. The Eucharist gives us a physical form of Jesus that can help us to visual Christ's presence in our lives.

Counsel: Adam and Eve represent counsel because they represent the consequences of sin. Adam and Eve are a mark of original sin and serve as a reminder of sin and how it separates us from God and weakens our relationship with him.

Fortitude: Prayer gives us the strength to do the will of God. The Holy Spirit inspires us to pray and gives us strength to make the right decisions. Prayer gives us the strength to to do the will of God and to live out our lives as children of God.

Knowledge: The picture of God standing over the universe demonstrates that God is present in all things. God created the entire universe and helps us to see that nothing would exist without God. The world is in God's hands and everything on earth is God's gifts to the world.

Piety: The image of God preaching to the children demonstrates God acting as our father. God created us and acts as the guiding hand that helps us through life and loves us regardless of our mistakes.

Fear of the Lord: When Jesus was crucified, God was present through the thunder that echoed over the hills of Jerusalem. Thunder and lightning demonstrate God's power and strength over all the world. God is the most powerful thing in existence and we should have a sense of fear in our relationship with God, helping us follow his laws and be mindful of sin.

Baptism Video # 4

Sacrament of Baptism (Catholic Tradition)

1. The video was made by BlagovestMedia. The video comes from a reliable source because the video gives good information about Baptism that is accurate according to Catholic teaching.

2. This video reminded me that water used in our daily lives is a symbol of the water used at our Baptism that washed away our sins. Baptism is not an event that lasts for a day but a gift that remains with us always. Baptism bestows upon us grace which brings us closer to God and the Church. The video also provided an account of the origin of Baptism with Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist in the Jordan River.

3. The video was a bit dull, but the visions of bodies of water played an excellent role in demonstrating the power which water has to wash away our sins at Baptism. Perhaps if there was more dialogue and a better narrator the video would have more of an appeal.

Baptism Video #1

Catholic Sacrament of Baptism

1. This video was made by the youtube user CatholicInAmerica and sponsored by the Catholic In America-Baptism Foundation. It is a trustworthy source because it is an interview with an actual Catholic priest obviously well practiced in the Sacrament of Baptism and the Catholic Faith.

2. This video taught me that Baptism is important because it really explained just how important Baptism is and the meaning it has on our lives. Baptism is the solid foundation of our lives in which we are bestowed with the grace of God and establish the foundation of morals and virtues that will define us for the rest of our lives. Baptism is the foundation for our lives in Christ and building blocks of our faith.

3. The video definitely could be more entertaining in order to draw more people to the concept of Baptism and the Catholic faith. The video does not make Baptism or the Catholic faith in God sound exciting or special. It does not fully capture the greatness of Baptism fully but presents the facts with dull enthusiasm.
